The directors of Spring Park Surgery Center in Davenport, Iowa, have announced the acquisition of an OptiMedica Catalys Precision Laser System for cataract surgery, according to a Quad Cities Online report.
Gus Harb, MD, urologist and chairman of the Spring Park Surgery Board of Directors, said the new technology will advance the center's cataract surgery program. The surgeons at Spring Park currently perform 60 percent of all cataract procedures in the region.
Spring Park Surgery Center was one of the first ambulatory surgery centers in the Midwest, opening in 1984.
