Southern Eye Center in Hattiesburg, Miss., is the first in Mississippi, Arkansas, Southern Alabama and Louisiana to offer the Iluvien intravitreal implant for the treatment of diabetic macular edema, according to a WDAM report.
Iluvien provides a continuous low-dose of steroids to treat diabetic macular edema. The treatment received FDA approval in 2014.
