SourceMedical Launches Hosted Application Environment for Surgery Centers
SourceMedical, a leading provider of ambulatory surgery, specialty hospital and therapy application software, has announced plans to launch a hosted application specifically for ASCs, according to a SourceMedical news release.Hosted Vision and Vision EHR services are intended to reduce the overall costs of ownership of SourceMedical applications while providing secure, reliable and scalable solutions at a fixed monthly cost, according to the release. The hosted solution will also be available to current AdvantX and SurgicSource clients as an upgrade.
SourceMedical is currently developing additional products and services to be available on a hosted, subscription basis, according to the release.
"On a daily basis we work with clients that have in-house servers that are not kept current with equipment and operating system updates, are not compliant from a security standpoint, have questionable back-up procedures and overall jeopardize the productivity of the staff and the facility," Marc Adelberg, vice president client services, said in the release. "In this new, hosted environment, we will be able to upgrade the applications automatically and monitor and backup the servers on an ongoing basis, while having the added benefit of getting new client applications up and running more quickly."
