Smith & Nephew Announces TRUCATH Spinal Injection System
Smith & Nephew Biologics & Spine has launched the TRUCATH◊ Spinal Injection System, a new system for performing transforaminal epidural injections, according to a Smith & Nephew news release. The TRUCATH◊ system is designed to reduce the risks associated with epidural pain management procedures by enabling the physician to position the needle outside the boney structure of the spine accurately delivering the catheter to the correct transforaminal entry point and reducing the potential for venous and arterial trespass, according to the release.
The system was previewed at the recent Association of Interventional Pain Physicians in Washington, D.C., and the International Spine Intervention Society Annual Scientific Meeting in Toronto, Canada.
