Oklahoma Surgery Center Puts Prices on Display

The Surgery Center of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, Okla., has recently put the prices of its procedures on display for healthcare comparison shoppers, according to a report by KOTV News 9.
The online pricing guide allows users to view the total costs of various procedures performed at the ASC and is useful for patients with inadequate insurance coverage and high deductibles who are looking high-quality, low-cost care, according to the report. The center rolls the facility, surgeon and anesthesiology fee into one amount that is made public to visitors.
Leaders of the ASC report that the transparent pricing has attracted patients from other states and countries to the Oklahoma center.
