NY Surgery Center Surgeon Dr. O. Alton Barron Named Chairman of Post University Board of Trustees
O. Alton Barron, MD, an attending hand/shoulder Surgeon at the CV Starr Hand Surgery Center in New York, has been named chairman of the board of trustees for Post University in Waterbury, Conn., according to a Post University news release.
Dr. Barron will assume the role on Feb. 1.
In addition to his work at the surgery center, Dr. Barron is an assistant clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York and a senior attending in the department of orthopedic surgery, director of research and an education committee member at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York.
The CV Starr Hand Surgery Center, located on the third floor of Roosevelt Hospital, specializes in specializes in problems of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder, according to the surgery center's website.
