Medical Facilities Corporation announced its operating income for the fiscal year 2013 increased 15.7 percent from $91.1 million. The company reported $309.2 million in overall revenue, up 29.2 percent from $239.4 million in 2012.

Medical Facilities Corporation named David Bellaire, a senior advisory partner to Bain & Company, to its board of directors.

Symbion will announce its fourth quarter and year-end financial results on March 25.

Foundation Healthcare will announce its fourth quarter and year-end financial results on March 27.

Developers broke ground on the 90,000-square-foot Douglas Park Medical Office Park in Long Beach, Calif. One of the new medical office buildings will be occupied by physicians of Long Beach Gastroenterology. The physicians will operate the Greater Long Beach Endoscopy Center, affiliated with Surgical Care Affiliates.

Three dignitaries from the Albanian Health Fund visited Lancaster (Pa.) Gastroenterology Procedure Center. Professor Xheladin Dracini, Ambassador Ahmet Shala and Vasil Naci know AmSurg partner Mark Johnston, MD, through his work with the Albanian Health Fund.
