For the week of March 17 to 21, Hospital Corporation of America stock was valued at $50.14 per share, up 5.23 percent.
Foundation Healthcare, previously known has Graymark Healthcare, reported $26.1 million in 2013 fourth quarter revenue, a 48 percent increase from $17.6 million in the same period in 2012. The company reported $93.14 million in revenue for the year ended Dec. 31, 2013, up 75.8 percent from $52.98 million in 2012.
Symbion reported $535.6 million in revenue from 2013, up 8.9 percent from $491.8 million in 2012. The company also reported $141 million in fourth quarter revenue up 4.5 percent from $134.9 million in 2012. Operating income rose 0.4 percent from $32.1 million in 2012 to $32.2 million in 2013.
Regent Surgical Health's Advanced Surgery Institute in Santa Rosa, Calif., and its partner Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital became the first facilities in the California Bay area to implant Medtronic's LINQ Insertable Cardiac Monitor, the world's smallest heart monitor.
Rob Parrish became a vice president of business development at Ambulatory Surgical Centers of America a little more than a year ago. Previously, Mr. Parrish was the co-founder and chief development officer of FED Co.
AmSurg announced its centers Endoscopy Center of the Upstate in Greenville, S.C., and MGA Gastrointestinal Diagnostic & Therapeutic Center – West Bank successfully completed AAAHC accreditation surveys.
