Florida Medical Center Opens Surgery Center
Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, Fla., opened its new ambulatory surgery center in the hospital's new 100,000 square-foot, five-story medical building, according to a report in Financial News & Daily Record.
The new center includes two operating rooms, with space shelled for a third OR in the future, and two endoscopy procedure rooms. According to the report, each OR includes large, high-definition monitors that greatly enhance the visual clarity of the patient's anatomy for the surgeon.
