Colorado's Peak One Surgery Center Provides Free Surgery for Uninsured, Receives National Attention
Peak One Surgery Center in Frisco, Colo., provided free surgery to 13 uninsured patients on June 12, according to multiple news reports.
The story was picked up by CNN, according to Pinnacle III, which has managed the ASC since the facility's inception in 2005.
Seven physicians and the ASC's staff volunteered on the Saturday and performed procedures including knee surgery and a hysterectomy.
Patients were chosen based on income and the beneficial impact of the surgery.
