Best dividends — 3 key healthcare stocks

Motley Fool recently created a list of the best dividend-paying healthcare stocks.

The three companies Motley Fool names among the best dividend-paying healthcare stocks are:

1. UnitedHealthcare Group with a forward dividend yield of 1.3 percent. The company is a giant in the industry and "perfectly positioned to capitalize on an increasingly insured America" as a result of the Affordable Care Act.

2. Gilead Sciences with forward dividend yield of 1.7 percent. The company is a top-selling HIV and hepatitis C drug company, and with more patients having access to these therapies and living longer there is more potential for revenue driving a dividend-friendly cash flow.

3. Bristol-Myers Squibb with a forward dividend yield of 2.2 percent. The company recently restructured and sold its diabetes interest, cut costs and is ready to introduce new drugs, which could make it among the "more attractive dividend-paying Big Pharma names out there."
