Ask the Experts: Providing Incentives to Hospital-Employed Physicians at a Joint-Ventured ASC
A hospital is considering a business joint-venture with a development/management company to develop an ASC off the hospital campus, which would benefit patient access and convenience as well as capture additional market share. The hospital would like to incentivize or provide an ownership opportunity to hospital-employed physicians who would be performing procedures at the new ASC. The hospital poses several questions to legal experts, including Scott Becker, JD, CPA.
