IU Health Goshen adds ambulatory care center

Goshen Ambulatory Care Center has been purchased by Indiana University Health Goshen Hospital, and the center will be closed until late summer for renovation.

Dr. Paul LoVerme elected to AAAASF Board of Directors.
With three potential terms ahead as member of the AAAASF directorate, Dr. LoVerme's role will focus on marketing, website development, accreditation and more. Read the full report on Becker's ASC Review.

Nobilis Health has closed a $25 million debt financing facility.
The facility will be used to finance the company's growth efforts. Nobilis will now have a new revolving line for working capital. The $25 million facility includes a $20 million term loan and $5 million revolving loan.

Superbug killer found
A 1,000-year-old Anglo-Saxon remedy has been found to kill superbug methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus, according to research conducted at The University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. Researchers recreated a 10th century potion for eye infections from Bald's Leechbook, an Old English volume in the British Library. Testing of the potion has shown remarkable effects on MRSA, a highly antibiotic-resistant infection

Medical Web Technologies appoints Scott Palmer president and COO
Medical Web Technologies is the maker of One Medical Passport. In his new role, Mr. Palmer will grow the company's core business and introduce its technology to new markets.

Mercy Health in Ohio acquires Surgery Center at Regency Park
The surgery center, to be renamed the Mercy Health Regency Park Surgery Center, will operate as an outpatient department of Mercy St. Anne Hospital in Toledo. The 10,000-square-foot, multispecialty surgery center has four operating rooms. The center is staffed by 40 full- and part-time employees.

SCA closes secondary public offering of common stock
Surgical Care Affiliates announced the closing of its underwritten public offering of 7 million shares of common stock.

AmSurg acquires Halifax Anesthesiology Associates
Sheridan, AmSurg's physician services division, has acquired Halifax Anesthesiology Associates, based in Daytona Beach, Fla.
