Urologists Elizabeth Bozeman, MD, and Gary Bozeman, MD, have joined Oswego Health. The board-certified urologists will perform procedures in their Fulton, N.Y., office and at Oswego Hospital's surgery center.
Jacksonville Beach Surgery Center acquires new endoscopy technology.
Jacksonville Beach Surgery Center, affiliated with Symbion, acquired the Fuse endoscopy System. The surgery center is the first in the state to acquire this endoscopy technology.
Colorectal cancer screening rate rises 7%.
The rate of colorectal cancer screening rose seven percent from 2008 to 2010. Screening increased for all population subgroups, except for non-Hispanic Asians and the uninsured.
ACG, AGA, ASGE launch new colorectal cancer awareness campaign.
The American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy have kicked off their new collaborative effort The Value of Colonoscopy: Saving Lives Through Expert Care.
