The Sharonville (Ohio) Chamber of Commerce recently granted Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine its 2013 Large Business of the Year award. The practice expanded its ambulatory surgery center and hired more than 50 new employees, including five physicians.
St. Augustine Surgery Center adds total joint program.
St. Augustine (Fla.) Surgery Center announced the addition of a total joint program. The program, led by Tod Northrup, DO, includes shoulder, hip and knee replacement.
Hoag Orthopedic Institute releases surgery center outcomes data.

Methodist McKinney hospital announced the acquisition of an outpatient surgery center in McKinney, Texas. The hospital retained the center's five primary physicians. The surgery center focuses primarily on orthopedics and pain management.
Trinitas Regional Medical Center opens ASC.
Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, N.J., recently opened a new ambulatory surgery center. A dedication ceremony was held on Jan. 29.
6% of Americans enrolled in ACOs.
Research from Leavitt Partners estimates that 6 percent of Americans are enrolled in an accountable care organization. ACO participation varies widely across the country.
