Here are seven news updates for ambulatory surgery center leaders to know for Feb. 10, 2014.

Beloit Health System seeks approval for new Illinois surgery center.
Beloit Health System is going through the process of filing a certificate of need for a $16.3 million expansion project, including an ambulatory surgery center, at its NorthPointe Health and Wellness Campus in Roscoe, Ill.

SourceMedical partners with LaClaro.
SourceMedical Solutions partnered with LaClaro to provide work flow automation tools and advanced management reporting for surgery center back offices. SourceMedical provides specialized software and billing services to outpatient surgery centers, specialty hospitals and rehabilitation centers.

OOSS adopts new benchmarking platform.
The Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgery Society adopted a new benchmarking platform launched by Dynamic Benchmarking. Thus far, 25 percent of eye surgery-driven ASCs represented by OOSS have entered data in the benchmarking platform.

Covenant Surgical Partners selects GI-specific EHR.
Covenant Surgical Partners has selected gMed, a gastroenterology-specific electronic health record, for 12 of its facilities. Covenant Surgical Partners intends to expand the system to all of its endoscopy centers.

AmSurg CEO sells 3k shares.
Last week, AmSurg CEO Christopher Holden sold 3,000 company shares for a total of $122,190. The transaction was disclosed in a filing with the U.S Securities and Exchanges Commission.

CMS reminds eligible professionals PQRS incentives end after 2014.
CMS published a reminder that this is the last year that eligible professionals can earn an incentive payment for satisfactorily reporting Physician Quality Reporting System quality data. This year's PQRS participation will determine the 2016 PQRS payment adjustment, according to an American Society of Anesthesiologists report.

EHR market to be worth $17B by 2017.
The electronic health record market, worth $10.6 billion in 2012, is expected to be valued at $17 billion by 2017, according to a GlobalData report.
