250+ bed hospitals rank Allscripts top vendor, reports Black Book

The annual hospital EHR poll conducted by Black Book Market Research found hospitals with over 250 beds ranked Allscripts Sunrise platform number one for the second consecutive year as top inpatient electronic health record.

Five thousand hospital EHR technology staff ballots and 14,000 nursing users were surveyed, representing 702 hospitals in polls conducted from August 2014 to February 2015, according to a statement by Black Book.

Allscripts was named top vendor for communications and connectivity as well as results review/management and decision support.

"We're pleased to achieve a number-one ranking for the second year in a row," said Paul M. Black, President and CEO of Allscripts in a statement. "The Black Book Rankings results affirm that Allscripts is a leading solution used in the market today."

CPSI was the top ranking vendor for hospitals under 100 beds and Cerner was the top vendor for Community Hospitals ranging from 101 to 250 beds for the fifth year in a row.
