Titan Health Corp. has partnered with a group of physicians in San Diego to develop a new outpatient surgery center. Currently under construction, first case at the center is scheduled for the end of the year or early 2009.

The 12,000 sq. ft. ASC will have three operating rooms at the start with two focused on orthopedics and one for minimally-invasive spine procedures. The space allows the ability to expand to a fourth room that will likely be dedicated to minimally-invasive spine.

The ASC will perform procedures in orthopedics, minimally-invasive neurosurgery, interventional pain management and reconstructive plastic surgery.

Features of the center include spinal cord monitoring, observation rooms, two 23-hour stay rooms and state-of-the-art IT and video integration communication systems. The building that houses the center will also provide services including imaging, laboratory, gamma knife, outpatient rehabilitation, hyperbaric and physician/surgeon medical offices.
