Ambulatory Surgical Centers of America (ASCOA) has announced the opening of five ASC projects in the third quarter, bringing the year‐to‐date total for the ASC developer/ turnaround company to 11. Agreements on two more projects are expected by year's end.

The five projects opened in the third quarter are Blue Bell Surgery Center in Blue Bell, Pa.; Thomas Johnson Surgery Center in Frederick, Md.; Greenville Surgery Center in Greenville, S.C.; Surgery Center of Key West in Key West, Fla.; and the Surgery Center of University Park in Sarasota, Fla. The Blue Bell and Frederick centers were de novo projects; Greenville, Key West and Sarasota were acquisitions. Each center has surgeon partners in multiple specialties.
