900 North Michigan Surgical Center (Chicago). Nearly 30 physicians perform procedures at the 900 North Michigan Surgical Center. The surgery center is accredited by the Joint Commission. Jay F. Kiokemeister, DO, MPH, serves as the center's medical director.
Flamingo Surgery Center (Las Vegas). Flamingo Surgery Center, affiliated with Hospital Corporation of America, was established in 1996. The center offers procedures in 15 specialties including gastroenterology, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT, pain management, physical medicine, podiatry, colorectal surgery, general surgery, maxillofacial surgery, oral surgery, orthopedics, plastics, vascular surgery and urology.
Gainesville (Ga.) Surgery Center. Gainesville Surgery Center, an affiliate of Surgical Care Affiliates, offers 15 specialties including gynecology, plastics, periorbital ophthalmology, general ophthalmology, podiatry, urology, general surgery, ENT, orthopedics, pain management, maxillofacial surgery, gastroenterology, dental, vascular surgery and neurosurgery. "A multispecialty ASC has unique challenges. To be successful, these ASCs must have multi-skilled clinical staff committed to putting patients first," says administrator Andy Whitener. "Additionally, business office teammates play a critical role. It is a team effort to get all the necessary skills, paperwork, supplies and equipment together."
MEDARVA Stony Point Surgery Center (Richmond, Va.). MEDARVA Stony Point Surgery Center offers procedures in nearly 20 specialties including interventional spine care, pain management, colorectal surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, plastics, podiatry, GI, general surgery, gynecology and reproductive endocrinology, hand surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthopedics, pediatric dentistry, pediatric ophthalmology, pediatric urology, urology and vascular surgery. The surgery center recently made headlines when it announced it would post the prices of several of its procedures online.
Marietta (Ga.) Surgical Center. Marietta Surgical Center, established in 1984, houses six surgical suites and four specialty procedure rooms for stereotactic breast, pain and GI procedures. The surgery center offers procedures in more than 15 specialties including breast surgery, colon and rectal surgery, ENT, GI, general surgery, gynecology, pathology, neurosurgery, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, plastics, podiatry and radiology.
Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center (St. Charles, Ill.). Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center offers procedures in more than 20 specialties, including immunology, dentistry, ENT, GI, gynecology, nephrology, oral surgery, pediatrics, pulmonary disease, endocrinology, general surgery, neurology, orthopedics, plastics, spine surgery, cardiology, dermatology, internal medicine, ophthalmology, pain management, podiatric and urology. The outpatient center was established in 1987. There are 165-plus physicians perform more than 750 different types of procedures at the center.
