David Young is Houston-based Nobilis Health Corp.'s new chief financial officer.
Here are five things to know:
1. Prior to joining Nobilis' team, Mr. Young was the senior vice president and division CFO for St. Paul, Minn.-based St. Jude Medical's America division.
2. He was also the vice president of finance at Waltham, Mass.-based Thermo Fisher Scientific, a life sciences research company.
3. Mr. Young is succeeding Kenneth Klein, who will take on a financial leadership role within Nobilis' hospital division.
4. A licensed CPA, Mr. Young obtained his MBA from Austin-based University of Texas' McCombs School of Business.
5. Mr. Young said, "Nobilis has a history of strong revenue performance. As we build on that history and continue our aggressive acquisition strategy, we need to strengthen our integration process and ensure a culture of focus and discipline when managing our cost structure, beginning with the hospital division. With 24 locations in seven states, including four hospitals, 10 ASCs and 10 clinics, efficient operations will become critical to the company's continued success."
