Salt Lake City-based CompHealth's Locum Tenens Division President Melissa Byington shared five ways providers can build trust with their staff.
1. Be Human. Displaying a human side and showing vulnerabilities creates relatable characteristics.
2. Grow the whole person, Similar to the first tip, encouraging your staff members to set personal developmental goals. It encourages engagement.
3. Get out of the way. Avoid micromanaging employees. It restricts their ability to innovate and improve.
4. Overshare. Find a way to communicate with a staff everyday, and keep them in the loop on any and all company news. It builds a sense of comradery that everyone is in this together.
5. Celebrate. Find ways to recognize and acknowledge your employees' contributions.
