2. The association aims to offer educational programs about safety and efficiency in ambulatory surgery.

3. NYSAASC's mission also includes legislation and regulations which influence ASC care. The association also works with various organizations on ASC industry trends.

4. Thomas Faith is the president of NYSAASC and is the vice president of healthcare operations for West Seneca, N.Y.-based Center for Ambulatory Surgery.

5. Including Mr. Faith, nine members comprise the association's board.
