5 takeaways on stress levels among physicians, APs

A Cejka Search and VITAL WorkLife Solutions survey polled 555 physicians and advanced practitioners about their stress levels.

Here are five takeaways:

1. Nearly 85.1 percent reported moderate to severe stress levels.

2. In 2011, 86.1 percent reported this level of stress.

3. Cejka Search Senior Vice President Don Weis said these levels are likely due to changes in reimbursement and increasing patient and government requirements.

4. Of those polled, nearly 64.9 percent said the workplace culture is "extremely important" in their interest in staying in their current job.

5. Physicians and APs cited skilled leadership as the most valued cultural attribute.
