Tygris Commercial Finance Group, a recently formed commercial finance company, has completed its acquisition of substantially all of the assets and business of MarCap, a Chicago-based middle market healthcare equipment finance company. MarCap joins Tygris Asset Finance, Tygris's middle market equipment leasing and asset finance business led by Laird Boulden, and will continue to operate under the MarCap brand. |

Health System Settles Overpayment Claims With Feds for $7.75 Million |

Baptist Health South Florida Inc., a healthcare system headquartered in Miami, has agreed to pay the United States $7,775,000 to settle claims that it violated the False Claims Act and the Stark Statute between 2003 and 2005, by paying excessive compensation to an oncology group that was a source of patient referrals to two of Baptists hospitals, the U.S. Department of Justice has announced. The settlement resulted from the company's disclosure to the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General. |

The combination of MedAssets and Accuro creates a leading healthcare ASP-based technology and services provider with 2007 pro forma net revenue of approximately $278 million; the combined companies' customer footprint is expected to exceed 3,300 U.S. hospitals, including more than 2,000 RCM hospital facility customers. |
