Western Michigan Cancer Center Offers Free Colonoscopies to Uninsured Patients

In light of new research reinforcing the effectiveness of colonoscopy screenings, Western Michigan Cancer Center is offering free colonoscopies for uninsured residents of the community, according to an M Live report.

The New England Journal of Medicine last week published a study, 'No Ifs Ands Or Butts -- Colonoscopies Save Lives, ' providing evidence that colonoscopies reduce colon cancer deaths by 53 percent.

Western Michigan Cancer Center will provide a health fair and free colonoscopies for 50 uninsured people in March.
