University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Center gastroenterology experts are organizing an advanced endoscopy course for nurses and allied health professionals.
Here are four key notes:
1. The hands-on Advanced Endoscopy Nursing Course is designed to give gastroenterology nurses, technicians and mid-level providers an opportunity to learn about new technology and techniques.
2. The course will focus on general and advanced endoscopic therapies for benign and malignant disorders of the GI tract, liver, pancreas and biliary system.
3. The course is directed by Gastroenterology Division Chief Vivek Kaul, MD; endoscopic experts Shivangi Kothari, MD, Truptesh Kothari, MD, Asad Ullah, MD; and nurse leaders Kristine Jaeger and Mary Jo Ciaccia.
4. The course will take place on May 29 and is open to professionals from across New York a well as neighboring states.
