Corporate Knights included Japan's Takeda Pharmaceuticals as one of its 2017 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World Index.
Here's what you should know.
1. This is the second consecutive year Takeda made the list.
2. To earn the distinction, Corporate Knights measured Takeda's performance on a 14-key performance indicator scale including categories like energy productivity, innovation capacity and safety performance.
