Researchers Find Prostate Cancer in 2,200-Year-Old Mummy
Researchers at the American University in Cairo found a 2,200-year-old mummy had prostate cancer, which suggests the disease is caused by genetics not environment, according to an Associated Press report on Fox.com.
This is the second-oldest report of prostate cancer. Because of the difference in environment (there were no pollutants or modified foods in Ancient Egypt), researchers think this discovery suggests prostate cancer is caused by genetics not environment.
