Here's what you should know:
1. The echoendoscope features transducer design and ultrasound imaging technology. Pentax described the scope as the slimmest linear scope currently on the market.
2. The scope has a slim insertion tube, a small distal end and a short bending section.
3. The scope is available globally.
4. Pentax Medical Americas President Clark Barousse said in a release, "The Slim Linear combines precision fine needle aspiration with excellent ultrasound image quality in our smallest GI echoendoscope. This unique combination sets a new standard in endoscopic ultrasound for everyday practice and for a wide range of procedures."
