Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center Establishes Digestive Disease Center

Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston has announced it has established a new digestive disease center, according to a news release.

The center will be overseen by gastroenterologist Atilla Ertan, MD, and hepatologist Michael Fallon, MD.

It will offer treatment from a multidisciplinary team of specialists in affiliation with the University of Texas Health Medical School.

"Our center's mission with a fully integrated program-based model is to diagnose and treat patients in such a way that helps them to live a more comfortable life," said Dr. Ertan, who is medical director of the Memorial Hermann Digestive Disease Center and professor of medicine at UTHealth, in the release. "That includes providing patients with a wealth of knowledge that can be utilized to better understand and manage their medical conditions. I strongly believe that our collaboration will help facilitate our excellence in delivering compassionate care to patients with all forms of digestive tract and liver disorders."

The new center occupies a 22,000-square-foot space in the Memorial Hermann Medical Plaza.
