Ayokunle Abegunde, MD, joined the staff of Maywood, Ill.-based Loyola Medicine.

1. Dr. Abegunde specializes in treating peptic ulcers, GI bleeding, microscopic colitis and functional bowel disorders.
2. He will see patients at the Loyola Outpatient Center in Maywood.
3. Dr. Abegunde earned his medical degree from Nigeria, Africa-based University of Lagos. He completed his residency at Chicago-based John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County and a fellowship at Oklahoma City-based University of Oklahoma Sciences Center. He also earned a master of science degree from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
