Michelle K. Kim, MD, is acting director of endoscopy and director of endoscopic ultrasound at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, where she also serves as a associate professor of medicine and gastroenterology. She is also a part of the Center for Carcinoid and Neuroendocrine Tumors of Mount Sinai. She is a past president of the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and a member of the American Gastroenterological Association.
Dr. Kim focuses on colon polypectomy, colonoscopy, endoscopic ultrasonography, pancreatic cancer, pancreatitis and upper GI endoscopy. Her research interests include endoscopic ultrasound, neuroendocrine tumors/carcinoid, gastrointestinal malignancies and pancreatitis. She is a recipient of an American Cancer Society Mentored Research Grant.
Dr. Kim earned her medical degree at Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto, Calif., and completed her residency at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, where she also completed her fellowship in gastroenterology.
