Gastroenterologist to know: Dr. W. Ray Kim of Stanford University Medical Center

W. Ray Kim, MD, is a gastroenterologist and chief of the division of gastroenterology and hepatology at Stanford (Calif.) University Medical Center. He is also chair of both the development committee and clinical research committee of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.

Dr. Kim's clinical interests include gastroenterology, hepatitis C, hepatology, chronic hepatitis B and liver transplantation. He is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, International Liver Transplant Society and American Society for Transplant Physicians.

Dr. Kim earned his medical degree from Seoul National University in South Korea, where he also completed his residency. He completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minn.
