Here are six recent news updates on key gastroenterology and endoscopy companies.

ALPCO launched a new panel of 13 stool-based gastroenterology assays, which consists of various biomarkers to aid in the investigation of IBD.

Exact Sciences filed a lawsuit against Humana in a Kentucky federal court over the payer’s refusal to reimburse for $800,000 in Cologuard claims. 

Physicians Endoscopy formed a new agreement with kiosk company Clearwave to improve the patient registration process. 

The combination drug elbasvir/grazoprevir (Zepatier) from Merck received FDA approval. Zepatier is designed to treat hepatitis C genotypes 1 and 4.

Healthmark added the Scope Holder to its GI product line. 

Takeda Pharmaceuticals' Dexilant SoluTab delayed-release orally disintegrating tablets received FDA approval. The proton pump inhibitor indicated for the treatment of heartburn associated with symptomatic non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease, the maintenance of healed erosive esophagitis and relief of heartburn in adults.
