Grey, Maine-based Enercon Technologies is expanding from its 35,000-square-foot headquarters to a new 69,000-square-foot facility, Worcester Business Journal reports.
Here's what you should know.
1. The medical device company is privately held and did not disclose its sales, but said it has been growing in double digit numbers annually since 2009 and was profitable since 1980.
2. The company makes the electronic components for the Marlborough, Mass.-based Boston Scientific's next-generation SpyGlass DS Direct Visualization endoscope.
3. The company also makes an automated medication dispenser for Charleston, S.C.-based PharmRight and a headset that uses infrared technology to visualize and highlight blood vessels for Gray-based VueTek Scientific.
4. The company is planning to add to its workforce after its expansion is complete. It currently employs 140 employees.
