Guarav Singhvi, MD, recently met with Rep. Raul Ruiz, MD, the U.S. Representative for Dr. Singhvi's home district, according to an AGA Washington Insider blog post.
Dr. Singhvi and Dr. Ruiz discussed current key issues for physicians, including greater transparency in the rule making for the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule, increasing NIH funding and supporting an increase in GME funding.
Dr. Singhvi is a member of the board of advisors of the American Gastroenterological Association's Political Action Committee. He also attended the AGA Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill in September.
