Silver Spring, Md.-based Capital Digestive Care added Brian Ciampa, MD, and Leigh Lurie, MD, to its Rockville, Md., location.
Here's what you should know:
1. Dr. Ciampa began his medical career from Indianapolis-based Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed a residency at New York City-based Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a fellowship at Washington, D.C.-based George Washington University.
2. Before beginning his career in medicine, Dr. Ciampa worked in film and television production.
3. Dr. Lurie began her career after earning her degree from Milwaukee-based Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed a residency at George Washington University and then worked for several years as an internist. She later completed a gastroenterology fellowship at New York City-based New York Presbyterian.
4. Dr. Lurie will be Capital Digestive Care's 26th female physician on staff.
