ASGE Recognizes Eight Endoscopy Units for Meeting Quality Guidelines

The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy has recognized eight endoscopy units for following the society's guidelines on privileging, quality assurance, endoscope reprocessing and infection control, according to a news release.

 

The program, which has recognized more than 400 endoscopy units to date, includes an educational course reviewing related guidelines.

 

The new ASGE endoscopy unit recognition program honorees are as follows:

  • Digestive Disease Center of Central New York in Liverpool
  • GI Services THC in Stamford, Conn.
  • Cardiology Consultants of Westchester in Hartsdale, N.Y.
  • UHS Binghamton (N.Y.) General Hospital GI Lab
  • UHS Wilson General Hospital GI Lab in Johnson City, N.Y.
  • Capital Health Hopewell Endoscopy Unit in Pennington, N.J.
  • Endoscopy Center at Ridge Plaza, LP dba Endoscopy Center at Med Point in McAllen, Texas
  • Mesquite Surgery Center in Tucson, Ariz.
