8 endoscopy center administrators to know

Here are eight endoscopy center administrators to know, included on the Becker's ASC Review list 108 ASC Administrators to Know.

Susan Cheek, CPA, CHCC, CASC, is administrator at Dallas Endoscopy Center, a position she has held for more than eight years. She is responsible for five-suite center's accounts receivable management, budget forecasting, human resources, insurance company contracts and vendor management.

Bruce Feldman, MS, CPPM, has been administrator and director of operations at Island Endoscopy Center/Island Gastroenterology Consultants in West Islip, N.Y., for more than one year. Previously, he was administrator and director of operations at the Surgicare Ambulatory Surgery Center of New York in Bronx.

Helen Lowenwirth, MBA, CASC, has been administrator at East Side Endoscopy in New York for more than two years. She was previously practice manager for New York Gastroenterology Associates and administrator for Park Avenue Radiologists.

Sarah Malaniak, CASC, is administrator at Ambulatory Center for Endoscopy in North Bergen, N.J., a Physicians Endoscopy-affiliated center. Previously, she served as administrator at Teaneck (N.J.) Surgical Center for more than five years.

Penny Nicarry administrates Endoscopy Center at Robinwood in Hagerstown, Md., which is owned by Partners in Endoscopy and Physicians Endoscopy. She has been administrator since 2002 and helped negotiate the current ownership structure, which has been in place since June 2012.

Donna Tweed has been the administrator at The Endoscopy Center of Bucks County in Newton, Pa., for one year. The center is a joint venture between several physicians and Physicians Endoscopy.

Andrew Weiss, CASC, has served as the administrator of the Endo Center at Voorhees (N.J.) for more than 11 years. He is also a board member on the Board of Ambulatory Surgery Center Certification and a board member of ASCAPAC.

Scott Williams, CASC, has been administrator at Carnegie Hill Endoscopy in New York since 2011, prior to the center's 2012 opening. The center is a joint venture between Physicians Endoscopy and Mount Sinai/Beth Israel Medical Center in New York.
