Ron Ah Loy, MD, AGAF, FACP, CEO, Big Island Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Center (Kamuela, Hawaii). Dr. Ah Loy is the owner and CEO of Big Island Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Center. He earned his medical degree from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu. He was in private practice for six years as an internal medicine physician when he decided to focus on gastroenterology. Dr. Ah Loy completed his GI fellowship at the University of California – San Diego.

Stephen M. Altschuler, MD, CEO, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Altschuler has been the CEO and president of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia since 2000. He has been with CHOP since 1982, beginning as a fellow in the division of pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition. He has also been the chair of the department of pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland.

David J. Bailey, MD, MBA, CEO, President, Nemours Foundation. Dr. Bailey is the president and CEO of The Nemours Foundation of Nemours Children's Health System. Dr.  Bailey was appointed the first COO of Nemours in 2003, which made him responsible for day-to-day operations of Nemours facilities in Delaware Valley and Florida. He completed his medical degree at The Pennsylvania State University in State College and completed his pediatrics residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Bailey completed his pediatric gastroenterology fellowship training at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He completed his MBA in 1996 at the University of South Florida in Tampa.

James DiLorenzo, MD, CEO, New York Associates in Gastroenterology (Bronx). Dr. DiLorenzo is the CEO of New York Associates in Gastroenterology, as well as president and co-medical director of New York GI Center. He focuses on biliary endoscopy and endoscopic removal of large polyps. He earned his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in New York. He then went on to complete his residency training at Harvard Medical School's Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Dr. DiLorenzo underwent his fellowship training at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Cornell Campus.

Michael Dragutsky, MD, CEO, CFO, Gastro One (Germantown, Tenn.). Dr. Dragutsky is a co-founder of the Gastroenterology Center of the MidSouth, which became Gastro One. In July 2014, Gastro One merged with Memphis Gastroenterology Group. After the merge, the practice became one of the largest physician groups in the mid-South. The practice has more than 30 physicians and 10 locations, spread across Tennessee and Mississippi. In addition to his leadership role at Gastro One, Dr. Dragutsky serves as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.

Craig Fausel, MD, President, CEO, The Oregon Clinic (Portland). Dr. Fausel is the president and CEO of The Oregon Clinic. He practices at The Oregon Clinic – Gastroenterology East. He focuses on colon cancer screening and prevention and GERD. Dr. Fausel earned his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical Center in New York. He completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Colorado Medical Center in Denver.

Jack Groover, MD, FACP, CEO, President, The Boorland Groover Clinic (St. Augustine, Fla.). The Boorland-Groover Clinic was established in 1947 and grew too be one of the largest gastroenterology clinics in the Southeastern United States. The practice now includes more than 60 physicians practicing at 12 surgery centers and more than 20 clinic locations. In addition to leading the clinic, Dr. Groover is also president and CEO of Jacksonville Center for Endoscopy and Jax Anesthesia Providers. He established his leadership in the Jacksonville medical arena in 1975 as the chief of gastroenterology of the Jacksonville Hospitals Education Program.

Bruce Levy, MD, JD, CEO Austin Gastroenterology, Austin Endoscopy Center I &II. Dr. Levy became the CEO of Austin Gastroenterology and the Austin Endoscopy Centers in 2002. He is also an active board member of the Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society. The practice includes more than 20 gastroenterologists, 13 office locations and two endoscopy centers. Dr. Levy earned his law degree from the University of Houston Bates School of Law and completed his medical degree at Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia.

Christopher T. Meyer, MD, CEO, Holzer Health System (Gallipolis, Ohio). Dr. Meyer assumed the role of CEO and chairman of the board of directors at Holzer Health System on Jan. 1. Previously, Dr. Meyer was CMO of the health system. He has been with Holzer since 2001, initially serving as medical site director of the system's Athens and Jackson locations. Dr. Meyer earned his medical degree from Des Moines (Iowa) University College of Medicine and underwent his fellowship training at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn.

Steven J. Morris, MD, JD, CEO of Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates. Dr. Morris is the CEO of Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates, which has more than 70 physicians and nearly 40 locations. Dr. Morris joined the practice in 1978. He is a former chief of staff at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta and a past president of the Georgia Gastrointestinal Society. Dr. Morris completed his fellowship at the University of Miami and holds a law degree from Georgia State University College of Law in Atlanta.

Shanker Mukherjee, MD, President, CEO, Twin Rivers Endoscopy Center (Easton, Pa.). In addition to serving as president and CEO of Twin Rivers Endoscopy Center, Dr. Mukherjee is also an attending physician at Easton (Pa.) Hospital, St. Luke's Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, Pa., and St. Luke's Anderson Campus in Easton. He earned his medical degree from Patna Medical College in India and completed his residency training at Downstate Medical Center-Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y. Dr. Mukherjee then completed his fellowship training at Harlem Hospital Center in Brooklyn.

Louis S. Saco, MD, MBA, CEO, Chairman of the Board, Watson Clinic (Lakeland, Fla.). Dr. Saco has been CEO and chairman of the board of Watson Clinic since 2002. He also serves as a clinical assistant professor of internal medicine at the University of South Florida School of Medicine in Tampa. Dr. Saco earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and completed his residency at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Saco underwent his fellowship training at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, N.C. He earned his MBA from the University of South Florida School of Business in Tampa.

Joseph A. Scopelliti, MD, CEO, Guthrie Healthcare System (Sayre, Pa.). Dr. Scopelliti has been with Guthrie since 1984. Today, he serves as the health system's CEO, in addition to practicing gastroenterology. He is also a clinical instructor at SUNY Update Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y., and an associated clinical professor of medicine at the University of Rochester (N.Y.). Dr. Scopelliti also chairs the Guthrie Graduate Medical Education Committee.

Peter G. Traber, MD, President, CEO, CMO, Galectin Therapeutics (Norcross, Ga.). Dr. Traber is the president, CEO and CMO of biotechnology company Galectin Therapeutics. Over the course of his career, Dr. Traber has served as CEO of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, CEO of the University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia and chief of gastroenterology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, amongst many other leadership roles. Dr. Traber completed his medical degree at Wayne State University in Detroit.

Gareth Weiner, MD, President, CEO, Rocky Mountain Gastroenterology Associates (Denver). Dr. Weiner is the president and CEO of Rocky Mountain Gastroenterology Associates, which now includes 30 gastroenterologists. The practice has 10 office locations and several physician-owned ambulatory surgery centers. The group covers eight hospitals in the area.  Dr. Weiner also serves as a principal of Rocky Mountain Clinical Research.
