Great Joint-Ventured ASC to Know: The Surgery Center at Mt. Zion, Atlanta, Ga.
|
The Surgery Center at Mt. Zion, providing outpatient surgery services and pain management care in Atlanta since 1997, is notable for its recent growth. In September, Gregory H. Lee, MD, whose areas of special interest include sports medicine and orthopedic surgery, joined the center's credentialed staff. He has been working at Atlanta Knee and Shoulder Clinic since August.
With this latest addition to the medical staff, the Surgery Center at Mt. Zion can accommodate even more outpatient opportunities for its Southern Crescent community and is on track to expand to a new facility in 2009. The relocation from Morrow, Ga., to Spivey Station, a 90-acre medical campus now under development in Jonesboro, Ga., will result in the facility's changing its name to Spivey Station Surgery Center.

Nominations Sought for Jan. Issues of ASC Review, Hospital Review and Orthopedic & Spine Review
|
1. January Becker's ASC Review. We are seeking nominations for 40 management and development companies to watch for 2009 and for 20 great ASCs to work for. We are also seeking to profile three to five centers that excel in either bariatrics or GYN surgery. We are also seeking authors and interviewees in specialty specific areas such as bariatrics, anesthesia and general surgery. Please e-mail suggestions and nominations to Scott Becker.
The Becker's ASC Review is highly focused on business issues and practical guidance for ASCs and, as such, is read by physicians and physician-owners of ASCs, administrators and business-minded directors of nursing. Becker's ASC Review is not distributed to nor focused on hospital OR nurses; that is a great audience, just not the target audience of the publication.
To advertise or exhibit, e-mail Jessica Cole or call her at (800) 417-2035.
2. January Becker's Orthopedic & Spine Practice Review We are seeking nominations for five to 10 great spine surgeons. We have a separate list of 10 leading knee surgeons -- most of them nominated by one of the best knee surgeons in the country. Please e-mail suggestions and nominations to Scott Becker.
3. Nominations for knee products and devices, and orthopedic companies. We are also seeking suggestions on knee products and devices for this issue. We are also seeking to profile three leading orthopedic device companies. Please e-mail suggestions and nominations to Scott Becker.
4. January The Hospital Review. This publication, focused solely on hospitals, not all of healthcare, is seeking nominations for three lists: 20-investor owned hospital companies to know, five hospitals that excel in orthopedics and five hospitals that are great places to work for. Please e-mail suggestions and nominations to Scott Becker.
This issue will have some focus on orthopedics and spine in hospitals and strategies for hospitals. It will also have a great article on mergers and acquisitions trends for hospitals.
