Keynote Speakers:

Bill WaltonWilliam (Bill) Theodore Walton III: Bill Walton was the NBA's Most Valuable Player, 1978; all-NBA First Team, 1978; NBA All-Star Team, 1977 and 1978; NBA Playoff's MVP, 1977; all-NBA second team, 1977; winner of the NBA Sixth Man Award, 1986. Mr. Walton is also the second of only five players in the history of the NBA to lead the league in both blocked shots and rebounding in the same season. He remains active in basketball through clinics, camps, coaching and television commentary. He started his broadcasting career in 1990 as an analyst for the then Prime Ticket Network. Mr. Walton worked for CBS Sports in the early 90's during the NCAA Final Four and then for NBC for many years, including work on the 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney Summer Olympic Games. Over the last 15 years he has worked for ABC, ESPN, NBC, CBS, Fox, MSNBC, Turner Sports, KCAL and the NBA. Mr. Walton is also involved in numerous internet ventures providing content and business acumen. In 1993, he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. In 2009, Mr. Walton was named one of the top 50 sports broadcasters of all time by the American Sportscasters Association.

 

Sam DonaldsonSam Donaldson: Sam Donaldson, a 44-year ABC News veteran, served two appointments as chief White House correspondent for ABC News from Jan. 1998-Aug. 1999 and from 1977-1989, covering Presidents Carter, Reagan and Clinton. Mr. Donaldson co-anchored PrimeTime Live with Diane Sawyer from Aug. 1989 until it merged with 20/20 in 1999. He co-anchored the ABC News Sunday morning broadcast, This Week With Sam Donaldson & Cokie Roberts, from Dec. 1996-Sept. 2002. From Oct. 2001-May 2004, he hosted The Sam Donaldson Show - Live in America, a daily news/talk radio program broadcast on ABC News Radio affiliates across the country. Most recently, Mr. Donaldson hosted the show Politics Live on ABC News Now, the ABC News digital network. From 1999-2001, he also hosted SamDonaldson@abcnews.com, the first regularly scheduled internet webcast produced by a television network. Mr. Donaldson has covered every national political convention since 1964 with the exception of the 1992 Republican Convention in Houston. Mr. Donaldson has won many awards, among them four Emmy Awards and three George Foster Peabody Awards.
