Earlier this year, Wooster (Ohio) Ambulatory Surgery Center hosted an open house to showcase its facility and promote the use of ambulatory surgery centers, according to a report in The Daily Record.
Wooster Ambulatory Surgery Center opened in 2008 and has hosted more than 12,000 procedures since. Led by medical director James Gesler, MD, and Administrator Victoria Caillet, the multispecialty facility conducted the open house in celebration as part of National ASC Day in August.
The ASC includes around 30 employees and touted the cost-savings when compared to performing procedures in the hospital setting during the event.
