USPI implements technology to support total joint patient education, outcomes

United Surgical Partners International has adopted Skylight Healthcare Systems technology, a patient engagement designed to improve patient education and clinical outcomes.

USPI launched the platform in three of its ambulatory surgery centers. The platform will be used specifically for total joint replacement cases.

"Every day we strive to improve the health and quality of life for our patients," stated Matt Pate, Senior Vice President of USPI's Physician Strategy Group. "Effectively engaging patients improves outcomes and is critical to our mission. Skylight's Interactive platform is going to give us an additional tool to do that even better. As value based care continues to emerge within the industry, patient education will become increasingly important. Our strategic partnership with Skylight Healthcare will help us meet the growing demand of joint replacement cases across the country while allowing us to be more responsive to the industry's emphasis on quality and value."
