SCA Q1 net operating revenue hits $279.7M; AmSurg short interest falls 12.2% & more — 5 key notes on ASC companies

Here are five updates on ASC management companies from the past week.

Surgical Care Affiliates' net operating revenue reached $279.7 million, a 19.5 percent increase from the same period the year prior.

AmSurg shares fell 12.2 percent in short interest. In July, AmSurg short interest reached 3.21 million shares.

Compass Surgical Partners, headquartered in Raleigh, N.C., sold Bay Area Physicians Surgery Center in Brandon, Fla., after Compass worked to successfully turnaround the surgery center. Hospital Corporation of America purchased a 51 percent interest in the surgery center.

During the first quarter, Nobilis Health's total case volume increased 13 percent to 3,974 cases at Nobilis facilities.

New York-based Frontier Healthcare Partners partnered with local physicians to open Mulberry Ambulatory Surgical Center in Newark, N.J. Frontier has opened six ASCs throughout New York since its 2013 inception.
