Physicians Eye Surgery Center in Charleston, S.C., has performed two cataract surgeries as part of Operation Sight, according to a report from ABC News 2.
The two patients who received the surgeries lacked adequate insurance to have the procedure performed, and both had become unable to work, according to the report.
Since its inception in 2011, Operation Sight-Charleston has provided 90 free surgeries for South Carolina residents, according to the report.
