The Digestive Disease Associates surgical diagnostic center in Wyomissing, Pa., hosted Republican Congressional Representative Joseph R. Pitts on a recent visit, according to a report in the Reading Eagle.
Rep. Pitts discussed healthcare legislation with the center's managing partner Louis LaLuna, MD, and executive director John Gleason. Mr. Gleason asked Rep. Pitts to introduce a bill on "on behalf of satellite diagnostic centers that would level the playing field between the smaller facilities and hospital outpatient centers," according to the report.
Rep. Pitts said he will keep this visit in mind when he returns to Congress, according to the report.
