Carlsbad, Calif.-based Medsphere will merge with Salt Lake City-based ChartLogic to expand its enterprise healthcare IT offerings.
Here are five highlights:
1. ChartLogic will keep its name and serve as a Medsphere division.
2. Medsphere will now offer ChartLogic's ambulatory electronic health record, practice management and medical billing solutions.
3. ChartLogic EHR combines command and control voice navigation as well as speech recognition, allowing enhanced charting. With the system, physicians may complete a patient record in 90 seconds.
4. ChartLogic EHR also offers e-prescribing, patient portal, labs and document management applications.
5. Medsphere anticipates closing the transaction by June 30.
