MedBridge launches medical tourism company: 5 key notes

MedBridge, an ambulatory surgery center development, management and billing services provider, launched a new company in the medical tourism industry called Kinese.

Here are five key notes:

1. Kinese is a surgical concierge service, which offers patients access to surgical care and luxurious hospitality accommodations in Beverly Hills, Calif., San Francisco and Santa Barbara, Calif.

2. Kinese coordinates every aspect of a patient's surgery experience.

3. The service even organizes massages, physical therapy, Cryotherapy, wine tours, shopping sprees and fine dining.

4. The service provides transparent pricing for all procedures. Patients are offered a cash pay rate for all procedures as well.

5. MedBridge, headquartered in Santa Barbara, includes a team of more than 40 professionals who are focused on managing the business side of ASCs.

"For several years we have seen patients struggle with taking control of their own healthcare. Geography, insurance coverage and managed care contracts have been a constant constraint on many patients. Kinese allows international patients to connect with best-in-class U.S. surgeons and facilities, as well as allows domestic patients to receive this same high-quality care without having to leave the country. Our goal is to disrupt the current bureaucracy that healthcare has become world-wide and put control back in the hands of the patient," said Dave Odell, MedBridge President & CEO.
